Who We Are
Heart Lake United Church began in a home basement and then met from 1985 to 1993 in the Terry Fox School. In September 1993, we moved into our current church home on Sandalwood Parkway.
We are a lively, informal congregation. Most people come to church wearing jeans or slacks. We have a combo of guitars, drum, flute and piano leading music. We seek to use all our senses in worship.
We are open to encouraging people to live out their faith in a variety of ways and to bring their gifts and passions to the church. Therefore in the past, people have started groups for the bereaved, for divorcees, for single moms, for environmental issues, for justice for the poor etc.
Each year the church hosts a variety of fun activities as fundraisers for the church, such as a Spring Carnival in May, a booth at the Brampton Fall Fair (September), a fashion show (April) and a craft show (November). We also have an excellent hall for sound and so we organize several concerts each year.
Heart Lake United Church continues as a vibrant and caring congregation serving the local community.
